Our roots
​
We were founded in 2009 by 2 ESL teachers, a Brit from Bedfordshire, England and a Hong Konger. We were two teachers inspired to make a difference in the world of ESL. We developed a unique programme with a unique method of teaching that has constantly been evolving and improving over time.
Fast forward ten years, and we are now at the point where we can predict children's learning outcome in months!
Specializing in the area of phonics, we can predict when a child can read and write independently. We do this daily with thousands of students.
Our Story
Our ESL teaching prowess originally stems from teaching children in a traditional class setting. We started with one learning centre called Babington Education in 2009 and now we have over 20, serving thousands of students daily. Over time, we became dangerously good at teaching ESL and we were producing predictable results in a given time. In fact, we tell every parent of our students exactly what their child will achieve every 3 months. Then in case they forget, we write it down for them on a piece of paper called a progress chart. That's the degree of our confidence! We are able to produce these results with any teacher of any background, even with teachers with no teaching experience. We achieve this through our teacher training programme that takes a native English teacher and turn that person into a weapon of mass instructions.
Offline to Online?

Then one day our founder thought,

"Hmm...if we can achieve such predictable results in a class of 6 students, I wonder if we can achieve the same results but online, albeit in a one-to-one class?"

And from that spawned Babington-GO!

Collective Legacy
In 2019 we started to work with schools in China. We worked with international schools, offering our curriculum, teacher training and unique teaching method with the aim of producing the same results but on a massive scale. We are most proud of our work with underprivileged schools in China, where we offer the same curriculum, the same teacher training and the same unique teaching methods but at a cost per lesson that's less than a packet of crisps (or chips to those in the US).

Our mission is to improve 1 million Chinese children's English, empowering them with the skills to read, write, listen and speak which enables them more opportunities in life. We want to be measured not by the number of children we have taught, but by the number of schools we have helped. That will be our collective legacy.
